The MADELEINE project

Coordinator

Dr. Michaël Méheut

Dr. Michaël Méheut is a senior aerospace engineer in the Aerodynamics, Aeroelasticity and Acoustics Department and the Civil Aircraft Unit. He made his PhD on the far-field drag extraction techniques applied to civil aircraft configurations.

He worked for one year and half at Dassault Aviation in the advanced aerodynamic unit and joined the Civil Aircraft Unit at ONERA in 2008. His works have mainly been devoted to the application of advanced optimisation techniques such as the adjoint to the design of innovative aircraft configurations such as the Boxwing or Blended Wing Body concepts. He coordinates ONERA activities in Clean Sky 2 linked to the integration of UHBR engine and the design of disruptive configurations.

Furthermore, he is the coordinator of the ASPIRE project (Aerodynamic and acouStic for high-by-passPass ratIo tuRbofan intEgration) in which ONERA, DLR, NLR and TsAGI are involved in the frame of Clean Sky 2 (CfP). He is responsible for ONERA activities in the Horizon 2020 PARSIFAL project dedicated to the Boxwing configuration.
